In 1997, after completing a Bachelor of Arts Honours Degree at Queen’s University in Kingston, Shirley Chang came back to Toronto to pursue a career in the legal field. Before deciding to enter law school, Shirley wanted to learn more about the litigation field and decided to join the team at Victory Verbatim under the training of the founder, James Arndt. She continued to pursue her career with further training by Ruth Graham, Official Examiner, and after eight years of working for Toronto’s largest court reporting firms such as Victory Verbatim, Graham’s Reporting, Professional Court Reporters and Network Court Reporting, Shirley decided to take all the best elements of each firm and all her experience to develop her own unique business model and founded NTC Reporting in 2005.
Shirley has extensive experience in administrative tribunal hearings such as the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Ontario, Professional Engineers of Ontario, Ontario Municipal Board Hearings, Financial Services Commission of Ontario hearings, Landlord and Tenant Board appeals, Immigration and Refugee Board appeals, and the Tax Court of Canada, just to name a few.
